Components settings, directory pages & visibility

I believe we should consider a more granular way to store component's specific properties like:

• whether it has a directory
• visibility
• other settings specific to components (allow avatar for groups, members etc..)

My suggestion is to create a buddypress post type entry for each component even if they do not include a directory page.

In 12.0 only components having a directory page have a corresponding buddypress post type entry, a specific post meta is storing custom slugs.

Let's discuss about this duing next major release milestone.
