Description

Just did this today https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=intranet and was amazed that there are only 41 plugins to help people build an intranet according to the WordPress.org plugins repository and BuddyPress is not one of them :(

I think it would be nice to find BuddyPress in the search results for this keyword.

I don't know who uses the keyword search, especially after the coming revamp to the plugin directory, but feel free to add it to the readme if you want.

I believe we can add intranet keyword instead of social networking, which is anyway kind of duplicated by social and networks keywords.

Also, thinking about tweaking readme text to actually include some info about intranet, not only a keyword.
But I'm not sure about the wording.
Any ideas?

Might be more appropriate to make a ticket to review/update the entire readme for 2.8 -- I know we have other tickets recently where we've taken out some dead links. Maybe update all the words and check we're saying things that are accurate as to how we want BuddyPress presented today.

I'm okay with the addition of the intranet keyword for this specific ticket.

Any further readme changes should go in a new (or existing) readme ticket.

In 12330:

Add the "intranet" keyword to list of tags on the readme.txt

Adding the "intranet" keyword to the readme.txt will help people to find the BuddyPress plugin when searching on the WordPress plugins repository.
