#6167 new defect (bug)
Activity stream commenting on WP post appears to bypass WP comment settings

Description
If my WP settings for comments are set to hold a post comment for moderation / approval buddypress appears to ignore that. If I comment on the post from the activity stream the comment is automatically published to the post.
It might be a small matter and obviously dependent on other settings such as being able to comment via activity stream, logged in/out etc but seems to point to BP not checking first for comment settings?

hnla, did you test on trunk or BP 2.1?
If this happened on trunk and did not happen on 2.1, then it's a regression that we'll have to address.

@r-a-y It was on trunk, but haven't tested things further as in the midst of stuff, so this ticket was more a memory jogger and I should have tested further/deeper really so might have done something daft - although don't think so (and in interests of disclosure was using the user switching plugin to switch between admin/subscriber so that may have had a bearing).
In fact the settings I had in operation for WP comments were simply that a user must have a previously approved comment - so until such time as this users first comment made directly to the post and held in the moderation queue was approved and published does it not stand to reason that any subsequent attempts to comment by the same user would also be held in the moderation queue regardless of the origin - in this case via the BP activity stream?
