Moderation of Spam Users

Description

The BuddyPress bar has a function to mark a user as spam (for admins). This is good but results in many users in the database marked as spam - there is no way to then deal with them in one go.

I have 800 users and 2/3 of them are marked as spam (ater one month online on fresh domain). Would like to delete them all without having to page through all of the user list. Also deleting all the blogs created by those spammers.

  • Keywords plugin users spam removed
  • Summary changed from Plugin Request: Delete all Spam Users to Moderation of Spam Users

#2 @cnorris23

  • Keywords needs-patch added
  • Milestone changed from 1.3 to Future Release

This is not likely to make it into 1.3 given the current scope if development discussed here. Unless, of course, someone can provide a solid patch.

User management is a WordPress feature, not BuddyPress.

Replying to DJPaul:

User management is a WordPress feature, not BuddyPress.

User management is a WordPress feature, but this ticket is about managing "Spam Users". In the user administration page, BuddyPress should add a filter for spam users and then the ability to delete them. Reopening the ticket

+1. As BP is currently construed, this seems well outside the scope of what BP should be doing. Plugin territory, please.
