Description

I have a Membership website which have the BuddyPress plugin including Buddy Builder Pro. Recently I'm facing a big issue. Lot's of images are not showing while trying to visit my website, even the logo is not showing. This website is running perfectly since last 2 years. But most recent days, maybe 2/3 weeks earlier I'm facing this issue. I've tried all possible solution from my end but that doesn't work. It also happen to my another website which also have membership features. When I disable BuddyPress Plugin, all images are working perfectly.

The possible solution I tried:
1) Re-installing all plugins
2) Re-installing the Theme
3) Clearing cache
4) Tried to visit from multiple different browser.

Need urgent support about this. Please help me to fix this.

Hi @saarefin

I'm sorry to read about your issue. If you use a fresh install of WordPress with only BuddyPress 12.0.0 activated, you'll see that everything behaves as expected: all images are showing. See below screenshot of my test:

=> Site Logo is showing.

I need more inputs to try to help you fix your specific config

  1. Can you share the last lines of your error log file ?
  2. Using Chrome can you activate the Inspector then its Network tab, then Activate the Image filter and refresh your site's page. See below screenshot:

If you click into the list of images on one of the images that has not a Status set to 200, what is the value of the requested URL of the Header tab ?

  1. If you deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress what happens ?
  2. If images are not back, if you deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and activate the Twenty Twenty-Four theme, what happens ?
  3. Have you tried to activate BP Classic to see if this was fixing your issue ?
  4. Having BP Classic active, have you tried to deactivate BuddyPress 12.0, then download BuddyPress 11.4 and add it using the Add new Plugin Admin Screen to upload and replace BuddyPress 12.0, then deactivate BP Classic to see if this was fixing your issue?

Hello @imath,

Thanks for your reply. I'm attaching 2 screenshots for explaining my issue more clearly.

Screenshot 1 is taken when the buddypress plugin active and the Screenshot 2 is taken after deactivating the buddypress plugin.

I'm using Astra theme and there was no issue since last two years. suddenly this issue appeared. I'm going to try downgrading the buddypress version to 11.4 and let you know the update.

It's only causing the image blocking issue for the home page. Other inner pages are working good. I also tried to replace those images and the result is same. FYI, there is my website link https://chicagoalphas.com/. If you have a chance to take a look, please do.

Thanks

Hi,

I just checked your site, going to https://chicagoalphas.com/members/ I was able to figure out, BuddyPress 12.0 is active. To me all images (including your site logo) are showing. Could it be some cache issue or a bug only happening when users are logged in ?

Here's what I see:

If it's only happening for logged in members, please deactivate Elementor and your potential membership plugin to check if it fixes the issue.

+ To better know what's happening, please get the PHP error log file of your site and share the lines involving a BuddyPress function.

Thanks in advance.
