With the current enhancement, we have used a multi-select box for member type selection at the user's extended profile edit section. It will be good to use a checkbox instead of a multi-select option to have consistent UI for member type selection like Group Type.

Replace the select multiple control with checkboxes into the WP-Admin/Extended profile screen.
