Hello,
I am using WordPress 4.9.7 and BuddyPress 3.1.0, Chrome and this is the site http://kawaritai.club/register/
When I add profile field and add description, it creates duplicates on the sign up page at the profile detail section.

Hi @michiko40. There were accessibility and usability improvements introduced way back in BuddyPress 2.9 for screen reader users where descriptions were moved above the field visibility settings buttons. In addition, the description was either placed above or below the respective form controls depending on the control.
So either the theme developer has not updated the theme you're using for BP 2.9 and above or you don't have the latest version of the theme. Looks like you're using the bp-legacy template pack.
You could update the parent theme yourself and I can point you to the changes expected in free themes. Having said that, it'd be better if you get the latest version from the theme developer as there might be other improvements added for the premium theme. Let me know.
