2 Glitches

Description

The first glitch I would like to report on would be when on a mobile device when you click view conversation. If the conversation is more than five lines of text the conversation indents it goes off screen to the right. This causes it to go off screen and not be visible.

I was wondering if there was a way to disable the indentation feature altogether when you click view conversation.

The second and most annoying of glitches is when you go to the profile page and you click the profile tabs the text on the left hand side in the question box is displayed in white when my theme is already white themed website.

Is there a way to change the color of the profile fields text in a more simplistic way that does require php coding. I have images that I could attach to this ticket from screenshots on my mobile device.

Hi @sidneyjay looking at those screenshots suggests probably a theme issue and BP trac might not be the best place to look for help on this type of issue, The forums might gain wider exposure with a greater number of the community reading forum posts.

However to be able to think further it will be important to know just what theme your running, is it a BP custom theme, or is it one of the default WP twentysomething themes e.g twentyfifteen, do we know what stylesheets are being loaded?

To override the CSS styling shouldn't be a problem and doesn't require PHP knowledge but does require CSS knowledge and WP child themeing familiarity as adding new styles ought to be done in a child theme, but these are questions that can be best answered on the forum, if you haven't already.

Ok looking at your site shows a custom theme in use 'customizr' and bp theme compatibility default stylesheet.

To be honest it will be hard to help with custom themes but the best place to start is to ask on the BP forums:
https://buddypress.org/support/forum/how-to/

In terms of mobile styling and layout BP will only provide very basic styles and isn't necessarily styled for mobile devices.

I am using a custom theme provided by customzr. I will further dive into the forums to search for my answer Thank you so much!

  • Milestone Awaiting Review deleted
  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

@sidneyjay In respect of the comments issue with nested replies you can turn that off but it's a WP feature so go to your dashboard:

/wp-admin/options-discussion.php

And disable there.

I'll close this ticket for now in favour of forum responses to your issues.
