Suggestion for new filter for step counter in group creation

Hi.
Is it possible to use the suggested filter in the attached file in order to allow theme creators to hide or change the step counter from the <li>'s in group creation page?

Thanks for the suggestion, giob. Can I ask why you want to change this? Is it a language issue - ie, does your language require different punctuation here? Or are you trying to change the number itself? (I ask because we may want to use a localizable string here.)

In my case I just wanted to "drop" the numbering, but it could also be useful for replacing the numbers with other strings, like: "1st step" or with bullets.

We're closing this ticket because it has not received any contribution or comments for at least two years. We have decided that it is better to close tickets that are good ideas, which have not gotten (or are unlikely to get) contributions, rather than keep things open indefinitely.
