Backport Travis CI trunk configuration for 2.0 branch

If you take a look at Travis CI Job ​#1464 the build failed as the .travis.yml in the 2.0 branch has not been updated to the current /trunk .travis.yml

I don't see any need to also update the 1.9 branch though if someone does, then that also.

I'm not sure if we're worried about unit tests in the last main branch (I guess we should be?), the question hasn't come up before.

Others: what do you think?

It would be nice for these tests to run, and if someone wanted to contribute a patch, I'd be happy to commit it to the branch. However, since the 2.0.x branch is probably not going to get another release, and since we won't actively be maintaining the branch after 2.1 is released, I don't think it's a high priority.

Yeah yeah, if for whatever reason anyone changes their mind, reopen and include a patch :)
