Problem posting to existing forums

I am having trouble with the posting of new forum topics to group related forums that existed before upgrading to bp1.2. I get a page not found error, yet when I visit the group forum the topic exists.

Do I need to remove all the forum capabilities from the groups and then reinstall the forum components and then re-add forum capabilities?

In your Dashboard, go to BuddyPress > Forums Setup. There will be a link to re-install bbPress, follow the steps (I think it's only 2 clicks total) then give it a try. Make sure to report back here with the results, so we can either close this ticket, or look into this further. For future reference, this probably would have been better posed in the forums at buddypress.org.

Closing due to no response from reporter in over a year; cnorris23's comment above should resolve the issue in any case.
