Description
I seem to have noticed a bug with BuddyPress when a new user attempts to register. When doing so, they have the option to use a weak password and they check a box that confirms their use of a weak password.
The user receives an activation email, which is normal, and activates their account. However when they try to log in, they get an invalid user/password message. I've tested this several times and have noticed that it's only when the user uses a weak password that it's happening ie. there is no issue when the user sets up a strong password. Can someone please confirm this is a legit bug with BuddyPress?
Hi,
Thanks for your report @bibblybob I've just tested on a fresh/clean install of WordPress Trunk and latest BuddyPress version. I've used a very weak password (3 letters) and wasn't able to replicate your issue. I believe there's another plugin you're using that is preventing the BuddyPress registration process to save the password the user choosed.
As everything works fine, I'm closing this ticket. If you have more details about how to reproduce the issue, don't hesitate to share them and reopen the ticket.
