Rotating Profile Photos – Is it Possible?

Hello, I’m wondering if there is a way for a forum member to rotate their profile photo left/right etc. Kind of like when on Facebook where user can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.

Need this since sometimes mobile upload photos appear in wrong direction.
Having rotating capability would fix this.

Anything is possible, but working on this area would involve larger work on the entire cropping step and customisation controls (which would be good things to do -- it's just a lot more work, and will only get done if a contributor feels like working on these areas).

Incorrect rotation of upload images does sound like something we could treat as a bug report. I'm not sure if it's a WordPress Media thing, or something we need to do.

@eslone99 If you can recreate these mobile uploaded images that do not get correctly rotated, can you test those images inside the WordPress Media Library, and put them into a blog post, and let me know if they get correctly rotated, or not? Thanks.

We don't have active contributors currently interested in working on media features, so while we may revisit this in the future, it's not going to be any time soon.
