It would be good to be able to freeze accounts temporarily without deleting them or to send users into "read only" mode for a while.

Szenario: There is a severe but open ended dispute between a member and the moderators in which the member is accused to violate the terms of service but argues against it.

You can mark a user as spam, which basically bozo's them. Then you can unspam them and they'll return to normal.
