Description

When sharing Twitter URL's such as https://t.co/UW1exPpQ5S BuddyPress will not follow the redirect so no rich media is displayed.

This example URL https://t.co/UW1exPpQ5S will redirect to https://twitter.com/i/moments/887308228090109952. If you directly share the latter, the rich content is displayed.

Thanks for the report, @c9charity. However, this does not sound like a BuddyPress issue. We piggyback off of WordPress' native oEmbed functionality to achieve rich embeds.

I'm guessing when you try pasting a t.co link in a WordPress post, that it will also not display the embed either. If it does, let us know and we'll reopen this issue.
