#7278 new defect (bug)

No content when defining another default tab for profile settings

Reported by: danbp's profile danbp Owned by:
Milestone: Awaiting Contributions Priority: high
Severity: normal Version:
Component: Members Keywords: dev-feedback 2nd-opinion

After discussion with @hnla on Slack today, i open this ticket, just in case of.

I encountered a strange behave when removing the profile General Setting tab and trying to define another tab as default. None of the two other tab will show his content when you define them as new_default. It only show up after you clicked on the item.

Stuningly, any thid party plugin (like my BP Member Stats) who may use the setting tab, is correctly displayed when you define it to default. I don't think it is a bug, but perhaps an omission somewhere - it doesn't happen on groups for example. More details - and way to reproduce - on this forum topic:

The issue occurs on BP 2.6.2, 2.7-beta and 2.7-RC1

Unless this is a regression from a previous release, it's probably not going into 2.7.

Let's please have someone else verify this before we go any further. We should prioritise checking @danbp's reports over most others, given his long contributions to our forums.

I think it is not a BuddyPress bug. I changed a bit the code of @danbp and now it works fine.
Please check to confirm this.
