I think there are 2 issues:

  1. non-members of groups can access subforums
  2. participants that are members of a group cannot see topics in the group forums

  • Milestone Awaiting Review deleted
  • Priority changed from high to normal
  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Severity changed from major to normal
  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Version 2.5.0 deleted

Thanks for posting, however forum functionality in BuddyPress is provided by the bbPress plugin.
