I registered custom post types to appear on activity feed, using bp_blogs_record_post_post_types filter.
comment button disappeared after upgrade to buddypress 2.5.0, and update to 2.5.1 did not help.
when I remove filter, comment button is back.

We made some changes to BuddyPress 2.5 for custom post types to allow comment tracking.
