Description
Changes in version 2.4.3 to the function setup_nav() in bp-groups/bp-groups-loader.php are reflected in the buddypress.pot file but not in the german translation that gets automatically loaded by wordpress. That cause e.g. the "Members Menu Entry" on a group page to not be translated anymore.

#: bp-groups/bp-groups-loader.php:513
msgctxt "My Group screen nav"
-msgid "Members <span>%s</span>"
-msgstr "Mitglieder <span>%s</span>"
+msgid "Members %s"
+msgstr "Mitglieder %s"
Solution: Merge the new .pot file with the old .po files and compile the .mo files again to get correct translations with the next auto update.

@DJPaul I did not translate anything. I am talking about the German translation included with BuddyPress. In version 2.4.3 the string "Members <span>%s</span>" in bp-groups/bp-groups-loader.php has changed to "Members %s". The included .pot file reflects this change.
However the included German translation does not. The German .po file still contains the old string "Members <span>%s</span>" and therefore the translation of "Members %s" fails.

@mensmaximus - BuddyPress uses the translations available from translate.wordpress.org.
I also checked the bundled .pot file for BP 2.5.1 and it looks like the .pot file was updated correctly, so I'm going to close this issue. Feel free to reopen if you are still encountering localization problems with BP 2.5.1.
For translate.wordpress.org, it looks like the Members %s
string still needs to be translated:
https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/buddypress/stable/de/default?filters[term]=members%20%s&filters[user_login]=&filters[status]=untranslated&filter=Filter&sort[by]=priority&sort[how]=desc
Once that is done and the next time WordPress checks for translations, BuddyPress should pick it up.
mensmaximus - It would be great if you are able to help finish translating the remaining strings over on translate.wordpress.org so others can benefit from the German translation:

@mensmaximus Were you translating with translate.wordpress.org or using the .pot file that's bundled with BuddyPress?
