Description

A problem I was able to find was that you can create a comment tree with the BuddyPress activity stream. Comment tree meaning many replies off of other replies. Attached is a picture with a visual of what I mean.

Information about my site:
I am running v1.9.1 of BuddyPress (on WordPress v3.8) with all BuddyPress modules activated and configured.
It is a WordPress multisite with subdomains. BuddyPress is network activated.

How to fix:
This can be fixed by adding a WordPress-style comment depth restriction into the BuddyPress options page.
Attached is a screenshot of the setting.

Setting that should be added.

Good idea. See #1870 for a way to do this in code.

I'm going to close this ticket in favor of #2768, which has a patch but has been sorta forgotten about.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
