Description
I've noticed something strange when appending a digit to the end of a URL such as http://buddypress.org/support/
e.g.
http://buddypress.org/support/2/
http://buddypress.org/support/3/
http://buddypress.org/support/4/
http://buddypress.org/support/5/
When I visit each of the URLs above I see the exact same content displayed each time. Should each of these pages result in a 404 page being displayed? Would search engines see this a duplicate content?
Note that when I visit a page such as http://buddypress.org/support/kyathhaggfa
I do in fact get an expected 404 page.

Thanks r-a-y for pointing that out. I think this could actually be a WordPress issue too. I am seeing the problem when viewing pages such as
example.com/about-us/ example.com/about-us/2/ example.com/about-us/3/
and on posts (my permalinks are set to post_id):
example.com/5673/ example.com/5673/2/ example.com/5673/3/
Interestingly I don't see the problem when accessing tag pages (my tag base is set to tags):
example.com/tags/soccer/ example.com/tags/soccer/2/ example.com/tags/soccer/3/
Is it worth me raising this issue at WordPress Trac too?

- Milestone BuddyPress.org Sites deleted
- Resolution set to worksforme
- Status changed from new to closed
As this issue was fixed in WordPress and deployed in 4.4 and as it's not replicating anymore on BuddyPress.org - I'm closing the ticket as worksforme
.
Now bbPress returns nothing and the page itself (its content) is blank on https://buddypress.org/support/2/
This is a bbPress issue and not a BuddyPress one.
To duplicate, add a bbPress shortcode to a WP page (like
[bbp-topic-index]
). Next, navigate to the WP page and append a number to the URL similar to what henrywright mentioned.I'm moving this ticket over to the BuddyPress.org milestone, feel free to create a ticket over on bbPress Trac as well, henrywright.
