Change all components to custom post types

Could it be a consideration for a future release, to actually turn all components into custom post types? This would simplify the use of buddypress, allow for much faster plugin development and make it easier to run multilingual communities. The relationship between post types/components could then very easily be established with a plugin like posts 2 posts by scribu.

Unlikely to happen anytime in the near future, and has been talked to death since WordPress 3.0.
