BuddyPress Media plugin took our site down

This updated plugin took our site down. I had to manually delete all the files via FTP. I am not sure what is going on with this plugin, yet it seems dangerous.

Sorry to hear about your trouble, but you should know this isn't the correct place to report this. You'll have better luck talking to the folks that work on that plugin specifically, as it's not directly related to BuddyPress core development.

This issues was for our BuddyPress-Media plugin - ​http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-media/

Actually, in one of our release, we used PHP 5.3 specific codes which WordPress sites running on PHP 5.2 or older couln't execute.

This has been rectified that time only. You can try latest version (which should work without any issue)
