I like this idea. DJPaul, is there a reason not to include this stuff in BP? Is it something we might consider for the new 1.7 templates?

Giving the ticket to @karmatosed to decide if this sort of thing would help or not for something like #4952.

So what's the verdict @karmatosed ?

Possibly it could be included, but I'm not sure as I wander how much we are encouraging front end group admin compared to back end with the new UI though.

Different usage/timing.

If I am a Group Admin and I'm already hanging around on the Group page, it's invaluable to have some group management upfront.

If I am a Site Admin creating (or managing) a community, frontend functions are tedious, and I want to be able to do most things in the backend, hopefully in batches or with drag-drop ease.

From my perspective, not a conflict here.

Any chance this will be picked out of the limbo and pushed in 1.9?

the atmentions are already in core at this point, at least for some parts. Not sure how much the other two are, or if even needed by "everyone".

Agree with @tw2113
Active install for that plugin is quite moderate. So I would not include this into core. Including will also require to complicate UI for display them. Current way they are displayed is a basic and not very suitable.
