Description
Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not..? there's nothing on the support forums about it.
I also can't seem to find the part where I can actually start a thread in the forum?
But anywhoo - not the reason for me opening this ticket :)
The Buddypress Installation Wizard will not go away... The plugin is not saving my preferences at all.
I've successfully followed the process 10+ times
I've logged out.
I've logged back in several times.
I deactivated all my plugins.
I've deleted the buddypress plugin twice - both from my ftp client and the plugins directory
I've reinstalled Buddypress twice - both from the wordpress plugin directory and the Buddypress website
This is the message that will not away:
"BuddyPress was successfully activated! Please run the installation wizard."
I"m trying to run Buddyboss as my theme but I can't as it keeps saying that Friends Connection & Activity Streams need to be enabled which I cannot do as the installation wizard is not registering anything I do.
Please help!
Thank you!

I seem something similar to this before in my own testing, at least once, but maybe twice. There was a lingering cookie. Even though I had already successfully completed the upgrade, I tried it again just in case. The message still lingered. That's when I found, what I'm assuming to be, an extra cookie stuck on the first step of the upgrade. The OP's description sounds very familiar to what I experienced. I just thought it was a fluke, but maybe there's something else going on, since I'm no longer the only one to see this.
Is this a fresh installation of BuddyPress, or an upgrade from a previous version? What version of WP are you using?
You say "the plugin is not saving my preferences at all". Do you have evidence for this, other than the fact that you're being asked to complete the wizard? Do you have direct access to your database? If so, try running the following query:
