Extra <img> wrapping for avatars

Description

It looks like the <img> wrapping for avatars in bp-core-avatars.php is not required. Or at least for gravatars. The issue I was facing after 1.6 update is attached to this ticket.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Can you share more information about your setup?

  • Have you done any customizations to your Toolbar?
  • Are you seeing the same problem anywhere else in the theme (aside from the "Howdy" dropdown in the toolbar)?
  • Could you please copy the HTML markup that is resulting in the funky display, and paste it here, so that we can see exactly how the syntax looks?

I've been tracking this issue on the forums a bit. I've discovered that it definitely occurs on the Saluation theme, but not BP-Default.

So, geordee: which theme are you using? :)
