Description

As noted in #4086 and at ​https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/1741#comment:16, BP rel="canonical" tags are not pointing to the correct places. (Specifically, they are pointing to the WP pages associated with their components.) This causes some issues with search engine indexing.
