BP Default and switch_to_blog for multisite

Description

After working alot with other themes, mainly woothemes as well as others including twentyten,p2, plus buddypress...one of the first things I noticed I couldn't do with 1.5 BP Default theme,(a child theme of BP-Default) was that I couldn't switch_to_blog the loop on the main index page.

I don't know if its necessarily a bug or just there's some multisite compatibility missing but its not working for me...when I just simply wrap the loop in switch_to_blog(3) - loop - restore_current_blog...I don't get anything back other than the first post only of the main blog with the urls pointing to the switched_to...strange. Where it's always worked for me before.
