Wrong Profile-Linking in a non-root-install

I have to install the main BP-components in a subdomain ( instead of the root (, because I have there a simple overview-page. Now I have a problem with the linking in the profile. The member-theme runs still in the root (, but the mainpage and the members-directory in the subdomain (

If I click on a profile-link it gives me the error, that I have to have plugin-template.php and plugin-sidebar.php in my theme. But I have it there and it changes nothing with the wrong linking... ( -->it should point to

I've just installed BuddyPress on a subdomain and run through all the scenarios you mentioned above. There was no problem at all with the linking of the member theme or any of the search functions.

Please make sure you have your .htaccess in the correct place and your WPMU is set up correctly.
