1		Personally gradient, block colour - neither matters to me as a theme designer as if I don't want them I will override them. I ~~kind of +1 the 'showcase' and that's the way I kind of see the theme really as a designer.~~
	1	Personally gradient, block colour - neither matters to me as a theme designer as if I don't want them I will override them. In fact rather than override what most like me would do is have their own styling totally aside from the theme and don't even link it in.

3		I also like the idea it uses different CSS stuff that will expose more 'standard' (for want of a nicer word) users to non image gradients and other things. I'd actually really like to see other 'showcase' stuff going on to really push it a little maybe even with using something like Modernizr (but that is a whole barrel of happy monkeys:)).
