When disabling Forums in the back-end via component setup, visit a users notification settings and Group Forum settings still display.

Just tried this on BP 1.2.6. I can't confirm this.
In fact, I don't see any group forum notification settings when forums are enabled!

Can you clarfiy?

  • Resolution → invalid
  • Status new → closed

The group forum notification settings nit3watch are mentioning are probably being created by the Group Activity Subscription plugin, not by BP. BP itself has no such settings.
