BP permalinks in standard WP installed in a subdirectory

Apologies if this is already posted in Trac.

If an admin installs Wordpress in a subdirectory as stated here:

Wordpress URLs will appear as they are served from the root directory.

instead of:


However, BP adds the subdirectory folder name to all BP pages:

Here's the thread that started the whole thing:

For now, I've told users to add a filter to bp_core_get_root_domain, but there should be better support for this in the upcoming BP 1.3 release.

Forgot to write in the body of the ticket that this is for standard WP installs.

Also wanted to add that this issue could already be fixed in BP 1.3 trunk, due to the way BP is using actual WP pages now.
