bug: auto-complete does not find any username

Reported by: erich73's profile erich73 Owned by:

Description

I have tried this at my local install and also at testbp.org.

When trying to send a Private-Message, there is the additional field at which you can enter another username.
But it looks like auto-complete is loading but is not able to find any username.

See screenshot attached.

Same here … dosn't work. Is Autocomplete dependend of some html/css structures above? I can't make it work in my custom theme too and thought it could due too custom hmtl/css selectors in my theme (i never touched compose.php).

The necessary scripts aren't being loaded. Hooking them to template_redirect seems to be the problem. Switching it to wp_head (like the styles) fixes it. Patch attached.
