Description

Automatic upgrading deletes BP language files.

I reckon it should be smart enough not to ... or that language files be kept elsewhere, where they are not deleted.

BTW, Japanese is not listed in ​http://codex.buddypress.org/ though it does exist.

A simple way could be have the language files in wp-content/languages and change the bp_core_load_buddypress_textdomain() function accordingly

Bumping this to 1.3. It's a valid issue but not one for a point release.
