Private-Groups: not possible to see my own post

1)

  • I have created a Private-Group at testbp.org

Then I am going to the "Group-Forums-Directory", it is currently not possible to select this "Private-Group" from the drop-down-box in order to make a post into the Forum of this "Private-Group".

2)
also when posting a Forum-post into a "Private-Group", my own post is actually not visible for myself within the Tab "My Topics" at the "Group-Forums-Directory".
Well, I would actually want to see MY OWN post, even if it is in a "Private-Group".

Yeah, private group content should appear in all directories when the user is actually a member of the private group.

This is similar, but different to ticket #1650, in which private group activities are not appearing in the Activity directory. Perhaps they have similar fixes?

well, it is not only about directories.

A member of a "Private Group" is actually not able to see his OWN Forum-posts at the Tab "All Topics" and the Tab "My Topics". !

sorry, but am not sure if you have read this ticket exactly ?
Both issues are real bugs and blockers, I strongly doubt calling this an "enhancement".

It is not about the group-forums-directory currently only showing public posts, it is about that I am able to see my own posts.

1)
issue "1" is that the "Private-Group" is not showing in the drop-down-box at which you select in which Forum you want to post your message. It is not showing the Private-Groups, although I am a member of that Group.

2)
my own -Forum-post is actually not visible for myself within the Tab "My Topics" and "All Topics".

My conclusion is that "Private Groups" are currently not working properly at all.

As I mentioned before, the group forum directory is for public group forums only. It will only allow you to post to and show posts in PUBLIC groups. If you want to interact with PRIVATE groups and forums you must directly visit the group. This is an enhancement because there is no broken code, the feature would need to be added.
