re: uploading a custom header file
WP allows the choice of file and seems to execute the upload, but at the step to crop the picture, there is no file seen. I cannot be sure if it is giving me the option to crop correctly or not as my file was a few pixels smaller than the program specified. Even though I could not see the picture I was cropping, I hit the crop button and it gave me a success message... but then nothing is displayed in the header, either in the back end or the front end.
[Do you care?] My workaround was I uploaded my custom header to replace default_header.jpg, chose default header and "remove text" and it worked like a charm.
Gosh I love you guys.
Please check the permissions on the upload folder, and make sure you have the GD image library installed on your server. A good way to check is to see if you can upload an image via the media library.
