Description

I'm using buddypress 1.2-rc The "create an account" page will show a form error of "Please check your email address." if the domain contains a hyphen.

Use 1.2-RC3 and see if you can duplicate the error:
http://buddypress.org/buddypress.1.2.rc3.zip

Delete /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/ and copy over the .ZIP contents to that same directory.

This would be a WPMU issue if this is the case.

I can confirm this is no longer an issue as of 1.2.4
