There are different problems with localization. I've localized r598 (and almost all previous versions) and some strings cannot be turned into Russian, because they are not included into .po file. So some intrusion into *.php files is needed and it's not good, I think. Log out, some seldom appeared strings (if something is wrong) are exmples.

And is there any official Russion BuddyPress localization and support team (like in WordPress)? If not, are you planning to create it?
I think it's a good idea.

Ok, I'll try some. For r622.

First of all, no russian plural forms supported for "active 2 days, 5 hours ago" in bp-core.php: function bp_core_time_since() (line 823). I understand that it's rather diffucult to remake. But there are no ways to translate correctly for all languages that have 3 plural forms: 1 item, from 2 to 4 items, and more than 4 items as in Russian and some others.

"Additional information" area when somebody is trying to sign up is not translated into .po file and I couldn't locate where it is to add or translate manually.

All the plugins' <titles> are displayed in English, it's not good for SEO and end-users.
"Save changes" is almost everywhere under traslation.

On Option page the basic or general information label could not be traslated without intrusion into code (Account Email, Change Password (leave blank for no change), New Password, Repeat New Password, Save changes)

On Profile page -> Change: could not be traslated: * Full Name:
On Profile page -> Avatar: The word "Upload" and "Delete"

On Messages page -> Inbox: The word "Select"
I don't know exactly, but messages are not shoed in "Inbox". That's the problem. I can only read them via notifications on my email which I turned off adsolutely but it's still working!

And the unstable problem with the process of avatar creation. I mean once it's good, another try - and I can't crop the image, 'cause the border I need to pull to choose the image area is not available for mouse. I tried in several brousers (all well famous) and the same problem.

And the themes I translate manually, because there are too many strings in English using your language file.

I've already saw all the changes you've made. They are really great.
A lot of problems from this list fixed.

But still one very important is not.
You made with plural forms this:
array( 60 , ( 'minute', 'buddypress' ), ( 'minutes', 'buddypress' ) ),
That's not really great form, I think. When I'm trying to add this in .po file:

msgid "minutes"
msgid_plural "minutes"
msgstr[0] "ru variant1" 1 minute for example
msgstr[1] "ru variant2" 3 minutes
msgstr[2] "ru variant3" 5 and more minutes (this Russian form different from 3 minutes)

with this:

"Plural-Forms: nplurals=3; plural=(n%10==1 && n%100!=11) ? 0 : ((n%10>=2 && n%10<=4 && (n%100<10

n%100>=20)) ? 1 : 2);\n"

"X-Poedit-KeywordsList: ;_e;ngettext:1,2;_c;__ngettext_noop:1,2\n"

in PoEdit - its just doesn't work. I don't understand why, because in wordpress language file it's the same and everything is ok.

Can you say where plural forms are defined? Maybe I could do something.

There are still some mistakes in adopting BuddyPress to different languages. I will show places, which can't be translated.
If you are admin and trying to edit profile fields these words and frases are still in English only: Edit, Delete, Add New Field, Add New Group.
Admin - Groups - 'Delete' and 'Search groups' are in English only.

In bp-xprofile-classes on the line 800 and below some words are not in ('smth');

The main problem is bbPress Forum translation. Any of words and sentences could be translated. They are still in English after I translated them in .po file
