When adding profile fields - going to Profile public view gives error for links

when using : Profile Field Setup - Add new field group - Add New Field
when you set up a new field - using radio buttons, dropdown menu (only those 2 are tested) :
Option 1: ch1
Option 2: ch2
Option 3: ch3

then updating your profile. You choose Option 2: ch2 (or another)

then you go to Profile::public view.
The newly added profile fields show the value you've chosen on updating your profile, BUT they are links to search for the value: ​http://domain.com/members/?s=ch2

You got the message: Sorry, no members were found.

The search works fine on testbp.org and on my test install. I tried exactly what you did and it found me when searching.
