Description
I know by default, the "My Blogs" nav item is added to the BuddyBar (which has the "Create a Blog" link), but I'm going to be removing this nav item from my theme to save some real estate.
In BP 1.1, the "Create a Blog" link was a subnav item under "My Account > Blogs", why not in BP 1.2?
---
Also a "Create a Blog" button should show up on a logged-in user's blogs screen. Maybe on the same line as the select option menu, but aligned left.

Yeah that's true.
My point was the "Create a Blog" nav item was available in BP 1.1.

I think it is removing a little bit usabillity, because the useres are know it from the last versions! it´s the same with the "create group" option in buddybar...

- Component set to Core
- Milestone changed from 1.3 to Future Release
When I updated my theme from 1.1, I just added the button manually. I imagine that most holdovers from 1.1 can do (or have done) the same.
I'm going to mark this as Future Release so that we can reconsider the question as the WP 3.1 admin bar begins to come to fruition.

+1 There are WP themes where the the_title of page template is not within the WP loop. As such, the "Create a Blog" and "Create a Group" buttons/links are not rendered beside the Blog/Group Directory page titles. Would be great to provide alternative way for users to create a group or blog if admin allows such (aside from manually creating the links for such or filters in custom menu etc)

mercime, I've added the "Create a Group" and "Create a Blog" links to the WP Toolbar.
Hopefully that helps somewhat. Let us know if you have any other ideas.

Commit made me realise we use "Create a blog" and "create a site" in several places. We should standardise on the terminology - I'm a fan of "site".
There is nothing stopping you adding the "Create a Blog" link under another menu in your own theme.
