New activity tabs - textfields here gives the wrong impression

Great with the new profile tabs: Friends, Groups, Favorites and @ Mentions.

I think it's a bit strange with the "Whats new" textfield on each of those new pages through. It looks like your posting directly on the page when in fact your message is being saved under the Personal tab. Like if your trying to post a message to the "Favorites" tab your message gets added but is gone on the next refresh.

I don't think the textfield should be on the 4 new tabs as users will probably get the wrong idea (I did too) unless your actually posting to that specific page your on. A solution would be to just have the textfield on the Personal tab where your message is actually being saved.
