activity irregularity with sitewide blog posts/comments

i'm running into some irregularity with sitewide posts in activity.
I've also just duplicated again on testbp.org to inspect. You'll see that I have three blogs registered with recent posts and comments, only one of which is appearing in activity.

local and otherwise, I'm seeing no real pattern of exclusion or inclusion.
The order in which i register the blogs has no effect and it doesn't seem related to upgrade since a fresh install also has no effect.

• a side note to this testing is that when accessing testbp.org/wp-admin directly, i'm routed to a username url windhamdavid.testbp.org/wp-admin/?c=1 that doesn't correspond to my blogs. Posts made under this url ​http://windhamdavid.testbp.org/2010/01/30/username-_id-test/

don't kck a 404 for an unused subdomain. I can't duplicate this using sub-directories.

Are all these blogs set to public? If they are not set as public they will never show in the activity stream.
