Log Out: All Members activity tab is not selected after redirect back to homepage

Description
Another weird one:
Logged in
view homepage (mine is site to activity - no blog - single wp)
click on any tab except all members (this happens for my friends, my groups, @mentions tabs)
click on buddybar -> account -> log out
properly logged out, redirected back to homepage
but the 'All Members' tab is not selected an no activity is shown
no messages (not even a default no activity found)
