Member joined this evening, says she "registered -1 years, 12 months ago"

It is because she registered in a timezone ahead of the server. Once the server catches up it will show correctly. I noticed this myself after the recent daylight saving time change. I am not sure if Andy can fix this or not.

I don't think so. But yes Trent is right, you need to adjust your timezone to account for daylight savings.
