I think it would nice with info on the activity if a user has updated his/hers profile information. Right now there's no activity when a user changes or adds any personal information.

Mark as invalid if you don't think this kind of info should be recorded on the users profile. :)

I'm tempted to say that this is plugin territory, for the following reason. It'd be simple to add an activity item that says "Sally has updated her profile" with a link to the profile, but that information is not really all that interesting unless you know which part of the profile Sally has changed. So what you really need is a more sophisticated activity item for xprofile, one that says "Sally changed her Gender from Male to Female" or at least "Sally has changed her Gender". But then I think that it would be nice for the activity items (like Facebook) to be formatted and phrased specifically based on the kind of profile item that was changed. Moreover, you'd want individuals (or at least admins) to have control over which profile fields produce activity updates, since some of the items might be more sensitive than others.

So I think that this is a complicated issue, and is probably best handled in a plugin that can be more responsive to these kinds of things (and ideally create a slick admin UI for setting it up). I'd like a second opinion about that, though.
