when 2 people become friends, then this is showing within the activity-stream.
However, currently it shows only the avatar of 1 person.

Why not show both avatars ?
2 people became friends - show 2 avatars.

This enhancement would make sense, yes. I am puttin the priority a bit down though, because it is not really that important to be "major", OK?

I believe that this has been fixed with the introduction of secondary avatars in the activity stream.
