joining Group does not show within Activity-Stream

bug description:

when being logged in, you go to the website ​http://testbp.org/groups

there, at the "Groups Listing", you click on the button "Join Group".

Bug:
at "Site Wide Activity", it does not show that you have just joined this Group.

Looks like it works just fine to me? Works on testbp.org and my test installations.

It will not record the activity for a group that is set to private however; possible that what you experienced?

Hi JJJ,

I just tested again: it does not work, even not with Public Groups.

You need to join the Group from the "Groups"-page.
It is working fine if you join a certain Group from the other pages, but it is not working if you join a Group from the Groups-List
at the Groups-page ​http://testbp.org/groups

additional information:
you will certainly become a member of the Group you have joined, but it does NOT show in activities:

"username ABC" joined the group "group XYZ"

This needs to be fixed and the activity recorded when joining via AJAX.
