#1239 closed enhancement (wontfix)

when signing in, then go to User-Profile-Page

Description

After signing-in as a user:

Currently, it is difficult for the user to understand that he can click on his username (at the very top-right) in order to see his User-Profile.

It would be easier like this:
when a user is signing-in, then he will be immediately forwarded to his own "User-Profile-Page".

  • Milestone changed from 1.1.2 to 1.2
  • Priority changed from major to minor

Depends on the context; user may want to go back to where they were on the site. This is something that can be altered via a plugin if you want all after-login-redirections to go to a specific page.

Leaving open for discussion though.

I think the site admin should have the option to choose where users get redirected on login.

A couple of options:
-last viewed page
-homepage
-profile
