site wide activity makes event 9 hours older + extra utf-8 char in group URL

Site wide activity widget renders the time of event.
An event which took place 3 minutes ago is displayed 9 hours 3 minutes ago.
This is TRUE for all events except one: moderated comments.
Moderated comment on main blog are displayed correctly.

Another Error is the extra character in group url when displayed in site wide activity widget. This bad URL when clicked causes "page not found" error.
Attached image shows the url hovered link in status bar.

I am using wpmu 2.8.4a and bb 1.1.1 Arabic local. POT files is partially translated.
