Description

when clicking on "Log In" at the top-left within the navigation-bar at www.testbp.org

Then this forwards to an ugly WordPress-Login-page.
​http://testbp.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Ftestbp.org

Can you make this in a nice layout, similar to what you have made here:
​http://testbp.org/register

Quick patch for 1.1 - Don't show the links if you're not logged in.

[ TODO: ] Revisit this later and make a function to redirect to sign-up/login page with a smart redirect back to the forum post page.

Hi John,

are you sure that your patch is belonging to this ticket ?
I rather would guesss your patch is related to:
Ticket #1139

Both tickets "#1139 and #1140" look similar, but in fact are containing completely different issues !

I'm on this one unless anyone else wants to give it a shot.

Bypassing the WP login isn't as easy as the Sign-up so it may be a bit before I have this ready. Maybe bump to 1.3+?

John and I discussed this a little at WordCamp NYC. jjj, do you think it's reasonable to expect a solution by 1.3?

Whilst we could create our own login page for BuddyPress, WordPress core has this ticket ​http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/15384 to address the issue. Changing the ticket to future release so that we can take a look at this again around the time of WordPress 3.2.
